Pcked up 787/1000 last Tuesday only to find out on close inspection that the Jap Spec rear light clusters do not have fog lights. How the beast passed it's MOT at the Dealer is beyond me.

I hear that one can get a mod to mount a rear foglight in one of the reversing lights. Is this true? Failing that, I suppose I will have to put the UK spec ones fitted or have an optional fog light fitted similar to those fitted on grey imports (only better like LED ones - where to buy?).

Any suggestions.

I may be wrong but i think with a little modification you can fit the fog lights in the same place as they are on the standard units.
Anyone ? ?

Big m.o., this is an easy one to resolve, take it back to the dealer to sort out, they really have no option, basically the car is technically illegal and they sold you goods not fit for the purpose.

there is a mod i believe to the sti lights, so don't let them BS you into getting an external fog light fitted or returning it back to standard orange clusters.

the 0787 went back today for a number of things that could not be done at the point of delivery. The ciggie lighter was disconnected, P1 wing badges missing, the wheels refurbed by Scuffmaster, steering wheel straigtened and locking wheel nuts fitted. The foglight was fitted with a slight mod so that one is done and I got back the driving light covers with the holes in them.... all for the cost of.....wait for it.....ZERO. Can't beat Listers for a thoro job on the car even tho they got rid if the franchise and are now selling Lexii!!!!

On another point, if in doubt, Listers Lexus (ex Subaru) will continue to service and mod Subarus as part of their commitment to existing Subaru owners (they have a Subaru aftersales services certificate)...there, a bit a free advertising....now where is my comlimentary service and dodgy MOT for the decat????

is this the worcester dealership your on about? they still owe me some stuff a month down the line... not impressed with their service to be honest...

Jag....the way to do it is to be persistent and jam their fone lines....works for me, also doing an impersonation of boycee to the parts department also helps. Mention "TC" to them - they may jump!!!
