just got a full set of brembos this eve. rather than get em repainted i fancy getting them done like mo,bike calipers.
brembo do a hpk caliper which is basically the shizzle when it comes to bikes, so was thinking getting them done the same

dont know mate, i tried with my alternator, acid dipped and sand blasted before hand but because its not pure or a really low grade it didnt take the colour at all well.

There may be an intermediate coating that would allow you to anodise it better, need to talk to someone in the know.

I'd paint 'em personally. Good 2-part paint though.

2k with a special hardener, a paint shop would advise better than me.

There are all sorts of crazy additives they have.

Don't waste your time/money sending the calipers for anodizing Cupcake. I've done trials on cast alloys of various compositions in the past and they rarely turn out even half as well as expected. The workpieces weren't calipers, granted, but the substrate will have been something similar. Pre-polishing the surface could actually make things worse depending on the composition of the alloy....

I'm no powder coating expert but I know that you would get a much better finish if you speak to the right company and went down this route instead.

I could PM you a proper explanation if needs be - works like Night Nurse on my missus..

Hammerite smooth black in rattle can form is what i used on the gold 2 pot calipers, turned out ok..needed loads of coverage but did the job to be fair.
