Alright lads, was thinking of getting some of these for the beast, remember seeing someone at the first meet with some colour coded ones and thought they looked the dogs danglies, am i right in saying that there is no fog light built into them? don't really want to stick a fog light under the rear bumper like the jap imports coz it looks naff, anybody got these and done some sort of mod to the afterburners ( like the STi rears maybe ) or anybody got any suggestions
Cheers, rimram

You dont want a bumper mounted fog light because THAT would look naff?!!!

The colour-coded afterburners (skyline-style lights) I saw at the meet were quite smart!

PM me your email address, i'm just looking for a picture that shows some1 who had a fog light built into their number plate, it looks a lot better than placing it on the bumper.

Afterburner rear lights available from subaru.org.uk (cheaper than TSL). They are supplied in black so have to be painted.
Fitted a set onto my P1 last month, easy to install and look pretty good.
There is no fog light with them, so I guess you would have to fit a rear fog light under the bumper to get it through its MOT then take it off again. That's my plan anyway.

Some on SN (http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=394159) claim to be afterburners but I think they mean lexus?

It looks a lot better than it sounds and is much better than it hanging from the bumper.
Personally I would mod a fog light into the light clusters, which I'm gonna have to do myself soon.

According to sites that sell these lights i.e. sccobyworld.co.uk, they clearly state that lights are fully E approved and road legal and will pass an MOT if fitted correctly???? Is a rear fog mandatory to an MOT???? or could it be possible that they are exempt like reversing lights???? :? :?
Just done a quick search and yes rear fogs are manadatory.....so how can sites claim the afterburners will pass MOT :? :? :?

Just looked on scoobyworld and their afterburner lights are not E approved. Pretty sure you need a rear foglight to pass MOT...

Looks to me like the type that is fitted by cutting a hole in the bumper... :? (Just positioned vertically instead of horizontally)
Neat placed next to number plate but the plate looks like it's been shortened to accomodate the light.

With the STi rears, its alot easier to add the fog light to them. Very easy to do. (theres a guide on here) Not sure why they would have hacked the bumper when they could have modded the rear lights :?

Maybe they just didn't know about the mod to the lights :?
