Hi
I don't know how many of you have tried the Earthing Mod but it sure makes a difference on my P1!
Better smoother tickover.
Smoother acceleration.
Better DAB Radio reception.
Alarm now VERY sensitive!!
Very much recommended.

i would guess it just gives a more true earthing point for the part that its connected to. so a more free flowing current can pass through making everything run smoother? plus ken's looks the dogs danglies.... (my does that phrase exists? surely noone actually finds them attractive??)

the car relies on the bodywork to give conductivity which as you know is steel (not the best conductor especially if rusty) the earth mod uses copper to earth the alternater, starter and ecu with extra points to body fixing. with electrical frequencies controlling fuel, timing etc it can't hurt to have better earthing. I really enjoyed doing it and as Jag says looks really good.
hope this helps

Guys
Just printed the instructions under projects on Scoobynet and gave it to an auto electrician, cost under £100 including parts and VAT. Looks good and definately makes the P1 smoother.
I have had major issues with the DAB radio since new but it is much better now. I have a CLIFFORD alarm fitted with blue flashing LEDs on each corner and these now flash faster so the earthing must not have been up to much as standard. All in all a very cost effective mod which gives better acceleration and smoother tickover, so it gets my vote.

the benefits must be recognised though if someone has gone to the extent of making up a kit for sale. looks like it would be fairly easy to fit as all the connectors etc are there in place perhaps the only problem might be that the instructions of where to fit said connectors are probably all in Japanese :?

Ah but Mr fuller has the said instructions
I'm wondering if the dealers will fit the kit? Or if they even supply one? :?:

Guys
I got it done at the same time as my Morrette Headlight conversion being sprayed and fitted. I used Fastrack at Braintree, can't recommend them enough. Email me if you need any further details.
