Have just got replacement discs and pads for my Prodrive Alcon's and am worried about hard braking during the bedding in period. :? Does anyone have any suggeestions as to the period of time required to properly bed in the new discs without rsking any damage :?: Any help suggestions would be appreciated. :)

I wouldnt do any HARD braking (unless you have to of course :wink: ) for anything up to about 500 miles. just try increasing the pressure on your brakes as you stop getting more firmer as they bed in.
Sorry for the laymans answer but this is what I would (and have) do :wink:

I'd 2nd Keith on that. Which pads are you using - Ferodo DS2500 by any chance??
I had these on my CTR and to be honest I didn't feel their full potential for at least 1k miles if not more - so just take it easy and keep your distance from the car infront - keep your speed down too - for now..
By the way - how much did you pay for them, as I know they aren't cheap and I will need to replace mine one day?

I'm in need of pads myself for the Prodrive 330mm brake upgrade kit. Can you please tell me the make and part number? Pretty desperate for some now!!!
Re bedding in procedure, there is a particular way to do it, the info was on the Evo site, I'll try to find it for you.
Would really appreciate the part number for the pads asap ;)
